These burb cloths are a perfect fit to your shoulder to prevent any spills getting
on Mum. The burb cloth can be made of one layer of printed cotton that looks
great, backed by two layers of flannel to wipe up the mess.
As a variation for the burb cloth, if you can find lovely colorful, printed flannel then
this can be used for all 3 layers. Otherwise, if you prefer terry towel or chenille
then this can also be used as the backing cloth.
You can use fabrics of the same color for the bib.

Sewing Instructions – Burp Cloth
Print files in adobe acrobat reader. Cut, Combine. Can be fastened with adhesive tape.
1) Cut out :-1 piece of cotton print and 2 pieces of flannel
2) Place your cotton print on the table, right side up. Place your flannel pieces (or other type of backing) on top of this with the right sides down and match all the edges. Pin in place.
3) Sew around the edges using a ¼-inch (6mm) seam but leave an opening of at
around 4 inches on one side.
4) Before we turn the cloth, carefully cut little snips on the rounded sections as shown in the photo. Be careful not to cut through your sewing. This will allow the fabric to ‘bend’ better around the corners and give a lovely rounded shape.
5) Using your opening, now turn your cloth
6) Iron it. Stitch around the entire edge of your cloth, preferably ¼-inch (6mm) from the edge. This will also stitch the opening closed.
The process is finished
